Most of us have experienced some form of abuse in our lifetime. Some of us are victims of sexual, satanic ritual, physical, emotional, verbal, or spiritual abuse. Some of us have been victims of abuse from our parents, spouse, or other loved one, friend, schoolmates, pastors, church goers, and strangers. Some people have been incapacitated by the abuse while others it barely disrupts their life.
However, there is one common thread that runs deep: It hurts us deeply and Jesus can heal the hurt. Jesus is the healer of all hurts no matter how deep the hurt. He is the God that will give you peace, joy, and a purpose for your life despite you past. He loves you so much. Each and every time you were hurt he was there with you; he was hurting with you. God did not cause these bad things to happen to you. When we were born we were all given free will to choose to sin or follow Jesus. God gave us free will because He did not want to make us come to him. He wanted to give people a choice to follow Him or satan. What kind of God would He be if He made us follow him? So God is indeed fair and just. Sadly, the people who have hurt us also has free will. Bad things happen in this life because of free will. That is just the way it is.
So how can we move on with our future? How can we heal our hurt? Can we have a normal fulfilling life? Can God use us in spite of our past?
Did you know that Jesus was abused too? He may not have been abused in the same way that you were, but the point is, he knows how you feel and what you are going through. He is with you right now whether you know it or not.
Why don’t you give your heart to Jesus today and let him heal your hurts. Give your past to him and let him deal with it, so you do not have to.
